Got to work with Wildfolk Studio this past weekend on a wedding she was doing in Rhode Island at a fancy pants venue. Freelancing has given me the opportunity to see so many places around New England that I would not have seen other wise. It has also given me many other things I really value, which, thinking about it now, I'd like to put into words at some point.
My bf in Boston celebrated her birthday last month, and then kept the celebration going into this month by hosting a karaoke party this past Saturday. It was SO fun! My first time ever doing karaoke and I didn't even need as much liquid courage as I thought I would. "Sang" (mostly yelled excitedly into the microphone) some Beyonce, some Shakira, and a few other 90's hits.
I usually take my breaks from work in the morning because it's my favorite time of day :) The light is beautiful and the day feels so full of possibilities! I usually grab a coffee and take a walk, and then another little walk in the afternoon. These are just little snapshots of my walks.
Halloween. I worked with Orly Khon Floral to decorate a restaurant in South Boston. Pictured above is my little section. It was totally non-flower related, and mostly cobwebs. After all the cobwebs I did for my office and for this restaurant, I am over them! (for now). Also, here's Pierre ready for the trick-or-treaters. He was so cute all night getting really excited every time kids came by. I love him so much it hurts.
Scenes from around our house... including me with a GIANT avocado! Gahh! It was so delicious. Also, if you follow me on insta and watch my stories, you may have seen I'm currently painting our bedroom. This has taken foreverrrr! First, because I have to prep each wall before I paint it (they are in bad shape and cracked, so I have to spackle, wait to dry, and sand). And secondly, because I can only do this on weekends when I'm not freelancing and I only have a few hours when the sun is out to paint. It will get done... eventually. Then I'm doing our hallway (God help me!) and then our kitchen (Lord give me patience!!) and finally the dining room.
Sunday morning and a heaping, hot bowl of posole for me, and menudo for Jon Paul. We were both so. freaking. happy. There was a loud soccer game playing in the background, a baby being rowdy at the table next to us, Spanish! This scene was so familiar and so homey, it was amazing.
I want a stained glass window in my forever home. They're just so cute.
Oooooh, I was just diggin' my outfit this day. It was chilly, so a beret was very appropriate (I say this because I wore it in the summer when I was having bad bang days, and I looked like a total weirdo in 80 degree, humid weather). Also, I realize now that it's socially frowned upon and kinda gross to bring my coffee into the bathroom, but tbh, it doesn't gross me out, so whatever.
Till next time I remember to pull my phone out and compile enough pictures for a post, bye!
