Hola! I had a little wedding bouquet order this past weekend and wanted to share the ingredient list for it :)
A fellow florist friend who recently moved back to CA (lucky...) had a girlfriend getting married ova here in my neck of the woods and sent me a message the night before to see if I could whip something up for her. I was so in! Really, any reason to get my hands on flowers I'll take, so... take advantage of that friends! Anyway, all I knew is that she liked burgundy, so that morning when I was at the flower market and there was nothing burgundy in sight I started to panic, then I saw these gorgeous amaryllis and there was peace in my heart.
Sometimes when you are designing, one flower or one color will pave the road for the rest of your choices, so I picked up the ruscus, anemones, and tuberose too. At home, I had those peach carnations and a friend gave me a couple of her leftover roses. Those paper whites are extra special because I grew those with my own two hands!! It was so satisfying to add them into this bouquet.
The recipient of this special bouquet texted me a couple of days later to tell me she loved it and it meant the world, really.
I hope to add more of these recipes. They are meant to be a guide, especially if you are just starting to play with flowers. Please send me picture if you try this out!
